Last year I had plans to spend my new year’s eve with my girlfriend, but covid-19 restrictions made me stay inside the home. I spend all my new year watching celebrations on my tablet. 

But, this 2023 new year would be different because the travel industry has lifted up the lockdown and allowed people to travel.

Get your hostel friend out, book a ticket to your destination, and celebrate it like there’s no tomorrow.

But here are a few tips and advice to remember before you move ahead towards your destination because these will help you to have tequila, and vodka on the beach with your friends, and family.

1. Make sure you plan early for prime parties.
2. Book your flight early – Make your flight booked at least a month prior to the new year.
3. Book your hotel in advance – This is a smart move that you book your hotel room before you move ahead to the place because of the huge crowd you might end up struggling to get a decent hotel.
4. Don’t drink and drive – It is recommended not to drive on new year eve because most of the people get drunk and drive on the road. So there is a high possibility that you end up hurting yourself. 
5. Parking is limited – I would recommend you to use any third-party travel services for celebrations because you might struggle to find a decent parking spot before your new year eve celebration.
6. Find a decent place to view the fireworks – You will end up ruining your mood if you don’t find a good place to watch all the activities of Happy New Year. Fireworks are a nice experience to witness and I don’t want you to get squeezed in by a bunch of people and hurt your eve. 
7. Stay hydrated – Enjoying, and relaxing your mind is good for health, so does water. So, don’t forget to stay hydrated in your celebrations.

Covid- 19 protocols before you head over to a new country for new year

If you are not fully vaccinated then you must follow the following steps for safety:

1. Get your Covid test before 2-3 days of your flight.
2. Make sure you cover your nose and mouth with the mask and it is recommended to wear it in hotels, lobbies, airports, shopping malls, over crowded places even if you are fully vaccinated. While you are allowed not to wear masks in open air areas, as per the government. 
3. Avoid over crowded areas, and wash your hands multiple times in a day with antibacterial hand soaps.
4. Make sure you maintain the distance of 6 ft to other people and avoid going to crowded places. 
5. After you travel, self quarantine yourself for 7 days if you come out negative. And self isolate yourself for 10 or 14 days if you have minor symptoms of covid-19.
